Superb young artists from the Ballet Chicago Studio Company will perform dances from Ballet Chicago’s spectacular Nutcracker and new works from its DanceVision project. The program, hosted by Artistic Director Daniel Duell, will also include a delightful audience-participation mini-lesson in ballet. “The dancers show uncanny sensitivity to each other and to the music, precision ensemble work, and phrasing that speaks to their training as expressive artists, not just technicians.” Lynn Colburn Shapiro, SeeChicagoDance.

Jazz at the Wood returns to the stage performing standard and original compositions by Miles Davis, Dizzy Gillespie, Louis Armstrong and others. The very talented jazz band will explore the band family, composers and will answer questions from the audience.
